Embracing a New Season of Creativity: Reviving the Organise Happy Mindset focused on Positive Psychology
Here we are, a few months later than usual but I am once again dusting off the blog brain and getting back into the Organise Happy mindset! Usually it is in the Spring when I get the urge to be creative and have a re-set but something just feels different right now.
A few weeks ago, I finished year 2 of my BSc Psychology degree and have been taking some personal time (who even am I?!) which never happens! Year 2 was absolutely mind-blowing in terms personal development and growth and I ended up starting a full time job alongside my studies at the very beginning of the year. The new job role was completely accidental but was one of those moments where the universe aligned and it was simply too good to ignore! Hence I have spent the past 10 months working full time whilst being a full time student - yikes!
Another significant shift this year is looking forward in terms of my career in Psychology. Year 1 gave such a great insight into all of the possibilities in the discipline that I wanted to keep my ears, eyes and options open. Year 2 however, alongside working for a company that inspires me every day, helped me to come back around full circle and remember exactly why I started this course in the first place! Organise Happy is my dream, my passion and I know know that Positive Psychology is the core of it all. I set out on this mission back in 2022 to attempt to change the world, and I still want to do just that!
So what is Positive Psychology?
Positive Psychology is a branch of psychology that focuses on studying and promoting human well-being, happiness, and flourishing. It emphasises the importance of positive emotions, strengths, virtues, and factors that contribute to a fulfilling life. Positive Psychology offers valuable insights and strategies for enhancing well-being, happiness, and fulfilment in life. By focusing on positive emotions, strengths, relationships, and mindfulness, individuals can cultivate a more meaningful and satisfying existence.

I think it goes without saying that my absolute favourite pillar and one of the most captivating aspects of positive psychology is undoubtedly the exploration of happiness. Delving into the realm of happiness offers a profound insight into the human experience and the factors that contribute to a fulfilling life. Happiness, as a pillar of positive psychology, serves as a beacon of light guiding individuals towards a state of well-being and contentment. Within the realm of positive psychology, happiness is not merely seen as a fleeting emotion but rather as a holistic state encompassing joy, satisfaction, and a sense of purpose. Researchers and practitioners in the field of positive psychology have dedicated countless hours to unraveling the intricacies of happiness and understanding how it can be cultivated and sustained. Moreover, the study of happiness in positive psychology extends beyond individual well-being to encompass the broader impact on society and communities. By fostering happiness at both the individual and collective levels, positive psychology seeks to create a ripple effect of positivity and flourishing.
In essence, happiness stands as a cornerstone of positive psychology, illuminating the path towards a more meaningful and fulfilling existence. Through the lens of happiness, individuals can unlock their true potential, cultivate resilience, and nurture authentic connections with others, ultimately leading to a life rich in purpose and joy.
The big question is, what does this look like day to day? This is my big goal, my big dream. How do we unlock this powerful, life altering and affirming status every day? I am on a mission to find out. If you are not already aware, the goal after the BSc is to continue onto a Masters and PhD in Positive Psychology, and I will continue to research this area. Stay tuned!
Claire :)
