The pursuit of Happiness

I'm walking on sunshine! Wooahhhhhh!

Back to the 5am club and I am LOVING IT!

It's dark outside and everyone else is sleeping but I am sat here and I can feel myself smiling. Firstly, I am super proud of myself for actually getting out of bed on a cold, dark morning. Secondly, I have a real sense of peace deep inside that I am totally in control of my day.

Last night I was super tired! It was hair washing night and my husband was really poorly so all of the generic tasks fell onto my lap for the evening. I considered giving in and letting it all slide until today, but I didn't. I gave myself 30 minutes to do it all in and then I could relax in the bath and watch something fun on YouTube. So that achievement paired with my early start today has left me feeling really happy.

Now, is this true happiness? Is it for me in this moment. I feel 'goofy happy' right now. But this will only be temporary. Something could come along today and knock me off of my perch. Or tomorrow I could sleep in again and end up chasing my tail all day. So as much as the 5am club is amazing and I would encourage everyone to do it every day, I don't think it is the single key to ultimate happiness. It is certainly the start for me.

Right, now it's time for me to move onto my goals list for today. I set myself 3 goals every day (these are in addition to the daily tasks I already have) but they are very realistic and achievable. More on that in another blog soon...

Have a fantastic Hump Day everyone!
